There's a lot of West between Utah and California. The persistently wandering camera explores places where earth and sky - buffered by an occasional rim of water or a monument to man - touch across vast horizons. Too-often tamed, the land clings to her remaining wild and stands ready to recover what she lost in the rushes that built the industrial age.

Experimentation with the printing process brought each of the images in this series to a unique place. In some cases, B&W prints are made using a relatively new digital silver gelatin process that exposes traditional photographic paper with a laser before it is run through chemical developers. Other images, both B&W and color, find themselves better brought to life using an interpretive process where pigmented inks are applied directly to heavyweight European cotton rag paper to lend them a velvet-like quality.

Original photographs are available for individual purchase and can also be displayed together as an exhibition. All images are available in two sizes:

11" x 14" prints, either archival pigment inks printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag (308g) or archival digital silver gelatin on Ilford Galerie fibre baryta (315g), offered in a limited edition of 25, signed and numbered on recto. Prices start at $400.

24" x 36" prints, either archival pigment inks printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag (308g) or archival digital silver gelatin on Ilford Galerie fibre baryta (315g), offered in a limited edition of 10, signed and numbered on recto. Prices start at $1250.
